Description
The sliding pipe shoe is purpose-built for pipelines requiring unobstructed axial movement due to thermal expansion. It integrates a load-bearing cradle with a low-friction sliding interface, designed to EN13480-3 for displacement control. The sliding surface consists of a PTFE plate bonded to a steel substrate, providing a friction coefficient of ≤0.15 to minimize pipe stress during movement. The insulation core is a high-density polyurethane foam with a vapor barrier, preventing cold loss and condensation in cryogenic applications down to -162°C. The baseplate is fixed to the structure, while the cradle slides freely, with hard stops to limit displacement to pre-set ranges (25–150 mm) and prevent overtravel.
