High Temperature Pipe Insulation Support
A high temperature pipe insulation support is used on steam, hot water, thermal oil and other heated pipe lines. The pipe expands when temperature rises. Description
This high temperature pipe insulation support is a pipe support made with a heat barrier, a steel saddle and a base structure. It is placed at bearing points of hot pipelines. Main Applications
A high temperature pipe insulation support is used at bearing points on steam, hot-water, thermal-oil, and process-heating pipelines in power plants, chemical plants, heating stations, and industrial pipe racks.
It is also installed on long straight runs, near elbows, at equipment connections, and beside expansion sections where the pipe must carry vertical load while allowing controlled axial movement.
Heat Resistance Details
The heat barrier material is selected according to the operating temperature, pipe load, insulation thickness, and allowable heat transfer at the support point. In a high temperature pipe insulation support, the block must keep its compressive strength during service so it does not soften, crack, or lose height. The insulation layer separates the hot pipe from the steel saddle and base, reducing heat flow into the supporting frame.
